GNUStep
January 30, 2005 on 12:49 am | In Computer | No CommentsWhen I was reading the slashdot article on GNUStep, I hit the flash demo. Long time ago I quit following the progress of GNUStep, but now all the development apps seem to be working fine. It’a quite amazing.
Still sick
January 28, 2005 on 7:52 pm | In Misc | No CommentsI have been still sick since the last post, and finally I went to the student health center yesterday. The doctor told me that very likely I have a respiratory infection, and he prescribed antibiotics. I think I’m better than yesterday, and hope to be fully recovered by the time I finish the antibiotics.

Machine Crash?
January 9, 2005 on 9:37 am | In Computer | No CommentsOn Christmas day, my server hosting HTTP, SMTP, SSH became unreachable. I was really afraid of my apartment being on fire. When I opened the door of our apartment room, I was really scared, but everything was usual. I touched the chasis of the machine, but it was cool. Then I checked the fans, but none of them was working. The power had been off for a while. I checked every clock in our apartment, and only the microwave’s clock was flashing with 00:00. Guessing from this evidence, there was really short power failure in the apartment complex and it turned the machine off.
I turned on the machine and everything seems to be working fine.
Came back
January 8, 2005 on 1:35 am | In General | No CommentsI came back to our apartment in NM around 8:30pm. I arrived at Albuquerque Airport almost on-time, but my checked-in bag didn’t. There were about 10 people having the same situation at the baggage claim area, and we all were told that the baggages will arrive at the airport with the flight at 9:30pm. Fortunately, I got a phone call from American Airline at 11:30pm and they delivered my bag to our apartment. Seems like AA just failed to move the baggages from international flights to the connecting flight. It’s far better than mis-routing of baggages.
